Young
Mak is a Hip-Hop/Rap artist who is currently a senior at Ball State University
in Muncie, Indiana. Majoring in
marketing, he clearly executes the skills he has learned in the classroom by
using them to exploit his music. On
April 7, 2010 after a campus-wide controversy about a man riding around campus
slapping women on the “buttocks,” he quickly assembled a song about the
incident.
It instantly turned into a hit record.
The first day it received over 8,000 Youtube views and 1,000 downloads. It
even caught the attention of ABC News.
After releasing a mixtape the month before, which was featured in the
Ball State University Daily News, it instantly received more attention among
the student body.
But it doesn’t end there.
Young Mak is currently in the studio working on his
debut album. He hopes to capture the hearts and minds of
listeners worldwide by inspiring their everyday lives. Speaking from life experiences, both triumphs
and failures, he has already started building a strong fan base. And the way that his career is looking now,
it can only get bigger.
One
thing is for sure, Young Mak knows exactly where his career is headed. In
the music industry today, it takes a talented artist with a vision to become
successful and this is exactly what Young Mak is proving to be.
